LOCAL GARDEN CLUB NEWS
Local garden clubs are invited to submit their programmes, garden news, and links to us and we will publish and advertise them here.
Drefach Felindre Gardening Club
All our meetings are open to all. Guests simply pay £2 per meeting which includes refreshments. All our meetings are held at 7.30 pm in the Red Dragon Hall (SA44 5UG) on the first Wednesday of each month except for the December meeting. Raffle and refreshments.
St Clears Garden Club meets on the second Monday of the month at Ysgol Griffith Jones, St Clears. Visitors are welcome. Refreshments and Raffle.
The Club holds regular meetings on the third Wednesday of each month, with the exception of December and January. The meetings are held at the Coronation Hall, Pumsaint, Carmarthenshire SA19 8UW and talks start at 7.30pm. Doors open at 7pm for tea/coffee/biscuits. We welcome everyone to our meetings - guests pay £3 per meeting including refreshments.
LOCAL EVENTS
Naturewise have asked us to promote their events. Here are the details.
Members are invited to Visitor & Volunteer days at the Naturewise Community Forest Garden, on Tuesdays and every third Saturday of the month. The 5 acre garden is at Parc Teifi, Cardigan (past the Police station on the retail park). See their website for more details.
Ty'r Maes Autumn Charity Plant Sale
We'll be having our annual charity plant sale from 1.00pm on Sunday 20 September. As usual it will be free entry and we'll provide tea, coffee and biscuits, though if anyone would like to bring a cake, that would be most welcome.
There will be hundreds of plants for sale, more than ever before and we encourage people to bring plants to swap. Alas, we are unable at the moment to offer our usual list of plants that can be ordered online, as it is simply not practicable to lift and divide plants at the moment. If circumstances change by the time of the plant sale, we will let you know.
There will be plenty of parking on our bottom field, and the area near the house will be available for loading/unloading and parking for anyone with mobility issues. .
We welcome donations, as we are here to raise money for NGS charities.
